  • $100 for opening a checking account and establishing $1,000 in recurring direct deposit3 within 90 days.
  • $100 for opening a new unsecured loan or a credit card with a minimum credit limit of $2,500. Either of these options must be completed within 90 days.

Who can join Addition Financial?

Addition Financial’s field of membership is based on a community charter.  Anyone who lives, works, worships, attends school or vocational training, or is an alum of any college, university, or educational institution located in these Florida and Georgia counties. Florida counties - Alachua, Bay, Brevard, Calhoun, Clay, Columbia, Duval, Flagler, Franklin, Gadsden, Hamilton, Hernando, Highlands, Hillsborough, Holmes, Indian River, Jackson, Jefferson, Lake, Leon, Liberty, Madison, Manatee, Marion, Martin, Okaloosa, Okeechobee, Orange, Osceola, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk, Putman, Sarasota, Seminole, St. Lucie, St. Johns, Sumter, Suwannee, Volusia, Wakulla, Walton, and  Washington. Georgia counties - Brooks, Decatur, Grady, Mitchell, and Thomas. If you become a member of Addition Financial, your immediate family members are automatically eligible to join.

1Current Member Referral Promotion Terms: Effective July 1, 2026. Current Members currently in good standing with the Credit Union may earn a $100 referral bonus for each eligible New Member who joins AFCU and opens a qualifying account. Employees, youth accounts (including Student Checking), and referred individuals who have been AFCU members within the past six (6) months are not eligible for referral bonus. Limit six (6) referral bonuses ($600 maximum) per Current Member. Bonuses are generally paid within ten (10) days of account opening. Offer subject to change or termination without notice.

2New Member Promotion Terms: Offer available to eligible new members only. Existing members, employees, youth accounts (including Student Checking), individuals whose accounts were closed within the past ninety (90) days or with a negative balance, and individuals who have been AFCU members within the past six (6) months are not eligible. To receive promotional payment(s), all applicable promotion requirements must be completed within ninety (90) days of account opening. Promotional payments are generally deposited within thirty (30) business days after requirements are met. Eligible direct deposits are limited to verified recurring payroll, pension, or government benefit payments.
