Addition Financial Credit Union Expanding High School Branch Program to Osceola High School! 🚧

Addition Financial Credit Union and the School District of Osceola County announced an expansion of their High School Branch Program partnership, with plans to open a student-run Addition Financial branch at Osceola High School.

Addition Financial's High School Branch program is designed to introduce young people to financial literacy and money management skills. The credit union will provide full training to Osceola High School students who are accepted into the program and will prepare them to fully staff and run the credit union branch, to be located on the Osceola High school campus.

Addition Financial Awards 2024 JAM Scholarships to Central Florida Students. 🎓

Addition Financial Credit Union helped a group of accomplished Central Florida students along their college career, awarding $65,000 in scholarships this month. Named after the credit union's former President and CEO, the Josephy A. Melbourne Jr. Annual Scholarship Program awards college scholarships to six high school seniors, worth $10,000 each, and two graduate level scholarships, worth $2,500 each.

"Addition Financial is proud to support and elevate these students embarking on the next step of their education journey," said Kevin Miller, President and CEO of Addition Financial Credit Union. "This year's recipients are an incredible group, whose passion to give back to the community is as distinct as their stellar performance in the classroom."

High School Branch Program by the Numbers: 2023-2024 School Year: 🏫

Addition Financial Credit Union completed its 16th year of its High School Branch Program in May, and the numbers add up to another class of students successfully running branches in Central Florida high schools. Here you can check out some of the highlights from the financial education and on-the-job work experience the students accrued during the 20203-2024 school year:

170 Students worked across Addition Financial's 10 high school branches as student tellers and member service representatives.
Students opened 800 new Addition Financial accounts at high school locations during the school year, led by Poinciana High School, with 148 accounts.
9 students at the high school branches worked at local full-service branches on Saturdays during the school year.
10 students in the high school branch program will be working at full-service branches over the summer as paid interns.
One student, Laura Tenorio from Colonial High School, received the annual student teller scholarship, awarded by Addition Financial to a senior in the High School Branch Program.
